Who we are

The self-check
Your answers are scored in your browser. They are not sent to us, and nothing is stored on your device. We never see them.
The company check
The company number you type is sent to our server, which asks the Companies House public register about that company. We do not keep the number or the result: a result is held in memory for up to 10 minutes so that the same company is not looked up twice, then it is gone. Our logs record that a check ran, never the number. Your internet address is used, in memory only, to stop the checks being overused.
The detailed report
Signups for the detailed report are not open yet, and this site takes no names or email addresses. When they open, this notice will first be updated to say what is collected, why, how long it is kept, and that a signup is passed to our checking partner for the full check only with the signer's consent, ticked by them.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising tools.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
