The detailed report

What the detailed report includes

The free checks show the warning signs. The detailed report is the record that shows you looked.

Three parts

1. The full check of the company

A fuller check of the subcontractor's company by our checking partner, beyond the public register. We will name the partner and list exactly what it covers before reports open.

2. Your checking process, written for you

The checks to make before you first pay a subcontractor, the record to keep for each one, the warning signs HMRC's guidance names and what to do about each, and a one page checklist for your office. All in HMRC's own terms. If you add your self-check answers, the process starts with your top risks.

3. The register result, dated

The public register result from the moment you asked, with the date and time, to keep with your CIS records.

What it is not

It is not tax or legal advice, and it is not a guarantee. It cannot show a company's CIS status: only HMRC's verification can. It helps you show you made reasonable checks.
