About SubSure

Free checks that help contractors show HMRC they made reasonable checks on the subcontractors they pay.

Why SubSure exists

The new CIS fraud rules mean a contractor can pay for a subcontractor's fraud if HMRC decides they should have known. Most contractors already check. Few can show it. SubSure gives two free checks, in plain words, with every figure taken from GOV.UK and linked to its page.

What we promise

  • No signup to see a result.
  • The law as GOV.UK and HMRC's manual state it, never stronger.
  • Flags worded fairly: worth a closer look, never an accusation.
  • Your self-check answers stay on your device.

What we are not

SubSure is not part of HMRC or Companies House and is not approved by either. Nothing on this site is tax or legal advice.

About the pictures

The photographs on this site are made with AI. They show typical UK building sites and site offices, not real people, firms or places.
